Arizona LCV Executive Director
Arizona League of Conservation Voters/Arizona League of Conservation Voters Education Fund
Executive Director Position Available
The Arizona League of Conservation Voters (AZLCV), a state-wide nonpartisan 501(C)(4) environmental advocacy organization with a strong political focus, and the Arizona League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (AZLCVEF), a state-wide 501(C)(3) organization that works to educate and coordinate citizens and organizations in the basic techniques of effective participation in government to further conservation goals, seek a dynamic leader to serve as Executive Director. The AZLCV, AZLCVEF, and related PAC organization seek to make protection of Arizona’s environment a top priority among the public, candidates and public officials.
BACKGROUND
Arizona is one of the fastest growing states in the nation, presenting AZLCV/AZLCVEF with a unique opportunity to create political change. The electorate is constantly evolving with the influx of voters from other states, many of whom move to Arizona for the quality of life offered here. Yet, the growth also presents a threat to that quality of life that Arizonans hold so dear. Combine that with the recent surge in environmental awareness among the public and public officials alike, and the AZLCV/AZLCVEF believes that it is positioned perfectly to introduce more conservation-minded policies and officials into our political system. In order to accomplish this, we must have a strong Executive Director with the vision and ability to lead the way as we make real progress for the environment in Arizona.
