WLCV is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to electing conservation leaders, holding decision-makers accountable, and encouraging lawmakers to champion conservation policies that effectively protect Wisconsin’s public health and natural resources.
The Campaign Field Organizer is a limited term employment position beginning in August and ending in November 2008, based in Madison or Milwaukee, with the possibility of becoming Milwaukee-based, full-time organizing staff.
The Campaign Field Organizer is responsible for understanding the political and electoral goals of WLCV, translating those goals into winning campaign strategies in state legislative races, and implementing those strategies and tactics. Strategic tactics include: recruiting volunteers; managing volunteers and interns; managing phone banks; running door-to-door canvasses; and generating earned media.
